Martin Schmierer

Martin Schmierer is an accomplished communications and political professional currently serving as Communications Manager at Voluntary Norfolk since December 2021, where efforts focus on enhancing the health and employability of thousands in Norfolk. Schmierer has held the position of Councillor for Mancroft Ward on the Norwich City Council since May 2015, during which time there was a tenure as Lord Mayor of Norwich and Leader of the Opposition. Previous experience includes roles such as Marketing & Communications Manager at Norwich School, Press Officer for Catherine Rowett MEP, and Eastern Region Development Manager for the Green Party of England & Wales. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Social History from the University of Glasgow and a Master’s Degree in History from the University of St Andrews.
