Ned Smith

Ned Smith is an experienced instrumental music educator currently serving as the Instrumental Music Director at Coventry High School since 2007, where responsibilities include instructing and conducting various music ensembles and teaching courses in Music Theory and History of American Music. Concurrently, since 2009, Ned has contributed as a Percussion Writer/Arranger for the NFA Wildcat Marching Band, providing arrangements and instruction during training camps and the marching season. Previously, from 2004 until November 2010, Ned wrote and arranged music for the MHS Marching Indians at Montville High School. Academic credentials include two Bachelor of Music degrees in Music Education from the University of Hartford and The Hartt School, complemented by a high school diploma from Norwich Free Academy.
