Alan Mc Carthy

Alan Mc Carthy has been working in the tech industry since 2017. Alan started at Optum as a ML Engineer, where they were involved in machine learning engineering, predictive modelling, and software development. Alan built loads of microservices using Python, flask, nginx, docker, and kubernetes. In 2020, they moved to Nory as a Data Engineer, where they do lots of backend python work, some predictive modelling, and looks after data pipelines. Alan also moved from Azure to AWS.

Alan McCarthy has a Bachelor of Science in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from Trinity College Dublin, which they obtained between 2012 and 2017. Alan also holds several certifications, including a Facial Action Coding System Trained Coder from the University of California, Berkeley (2018), a Dipl. in Innovation from University College Dublin (2018), a Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) from Salesforce (2018), and a Machine Learning Nano Degree from Udacity (date unknown).
