Orlando Almeida

Orlando Almeida is an experienced telecom cloud engineer with a focus on designing and engineering telecom cloud infrastructures for 5G Core Network functions and Edge Computing platforms at NOS SGPS since May 2014. As a GCP Architect and Infra as Code advocate, Orlando excels in deploying modern cloud-native technologies using Nokia NCS, Ericsson CNIS, and Google Anthos Kubernetes clusters. Previous roles include 5G Innovation Engineer, Value Added Service Engineer, and Technical Team Lead, with notable project management experience in contact center solutions. Prior to NOS SGPS, Orlando held leadership positions and won multiple awards for customer service excellence at Optimus, as well as worked as a System Administrator at Fidelidade Mundial. Orlando holds a Licentiate degree in Computer Science from Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade de Lisboa and further education from Porto Business School and Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
