Jehad Affoneh

Jehad Affoneh is a Chief Design Officer at Toast since June 2022 and serves as an advisor to Frec and Notably. Previously, Jehad held the position of Chief Design Officer at Splunk from February 2021 to June 2022, overseeing product design and user research efforts. From August 2011 to February 2021, Jehad served as Head of Design at VMware, where a significant expansion of the design team occurred, and led the creation of VMware's Design System, Clarity, which gained widespread adoption. Jehad also contributed to various VMware products, including VxRail and vSphere, beginning as a User Interface Engineer. Jehad holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
