Nishant Mohan has extensive experience in the field of optical coherence tomography (OCT) and healthcare technology. Nishant is currently serving as the Vice President of Product at Notal Vision, a digital health company that specializes in ophthalmology diagnostics using artificial intelligence. Prior to this role, they held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Tesseract Health, where they helped raise $80M for the launch of their next-generation healthcare product. Before that, they served as the Chief Technology and Product Officer at PhotoniCare, developing an FDA-cleared OCT-based imaging device for diagnosing middle ear conditions in children.
Nishant also has a strong background in business strategy and product management. Nishant worked as the Vice President of the OCT Division at Wasatch Photonics, overseeing product marketing, new product development, and market research. Nishant also held the role of Director of Product Management and Marketing at Wasatch Photonics' Systems Division, where they led the development and commercialization of OCT products.
Earlier in their career, Nishant worked as a Senior Optical Engineer at Bausch + Lomb, focusing on contact lens design and verification using OCT technology. Nishant started their career as a Research Fellow at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Medical School, and a Research Assistant at Boston University's Quantum Imaging Lab, where they conducted research in the field of OCT and optical system design.
Nishant holds a PhD in electrical engineering and has contributed to numerous advancements in OCT technology throughout their career.
Nishant Mohan has a diverse education history in the field of science and engineering. Nishant completed their Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati in 2004. After that, they pursued their PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University and successfully completed it in 2009. Nishant then went on to further enhance their knowledge and skills by attending Harvard Medical School, where they earned a Post-doctoral degree in Health Sciences from 2010 to 2012.
In addition to their formal education, Nishant Mohan has also obtained a certification called "An Introduction to Marketing" from The Wharton School of Business - Coursera Verified Certificates in January 2014. This certification indicates their interest in expanding their knowledge beyond their core scientific background.
