Alex Karim

Alex Karim is a software engineer currently at Notion since October 2021, specializing in developer infrastructure. Previously, Alex worked at Lyft from August 2017 to August 2020, where responsibilities included authoring a Go microservice, refactoring the IDL pipeline for enhanced reliability, mentoring interns, and participating in recruiting initiatives. Alex's early experience includes serving as a student advocate for diversity and inclusion at Brown University's Computer Science Department, along with roles as a head teaching assistant and teaching assistant. Additional internships at Neon Lab and Blue Shield of California provided further experience in front-end development and quality assurance, respectively. Alex holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Ethnic Studies from Brown University, completed in 2017.
