Kristen Polin has a diverse work experience with a focus on youth mental health and prevention programs. Kristen is currently the CEO of notMYkid, a nonprofit organization that promotes youth mental health and well-being. In this role, they lead a team of 40 professionals and oversees the delivery of high-quality prevention and behavioral health programs.
Prior to their current position, Kristen served as the Vice President of Programs at notMYkid for three years, where they were responsible for managing the operational aspects of the annual budget and implementing fundraising initiatives. Kristen also secured multi-year state contracts, generating new revenue streams for the organization's prevention programs.
Before joining notMYkid, Kristen worked at Community Bridges for 17 years, serving as the Vice President of Community Relations & Development. In this role, they played a key role in public relations, agency development, and community-based prevention campaigns. Kristen helped expand the organization's services from one program to over 30 programs statewide and was involved in securing contracts and establishing partnerships.
Kristen also has experience in business development and training. Kristen worked as a Business Development Consultant at Tanglewood Research, where they focused on new business development and training for the All Stars program. Additionally, they worked as a Consultant at Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation, coordinating and implementing school-based research projects on prevention curricula.
Earlier in their career, Kristen worked as an Addiction and Recovery Counselor at Sunburst Treatment Services, specializing in relapse prevention and education. Kristen later merged with Community Bridges to continue their work in addiction counseling.
Kristen Polin completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion & Disease Prevention Studies from Ithaca College. Kristen attended from 1992 to 1996. In 1999, they pursued further education and obtained a Master's Degree in Education Program Management from the University of Phoenix, where they studied until 2001.
