Julie Cler is a Process Engineer at Notpla, responsible for developing innovative packaging solutions from seaweed and adapting formulations to meet current coatings technology requirements since July 2023. Prior experience includes working as a PhD student at The University of Manchester from January 2020 to July 2023 on the SusCoRD project, which focused on optimizing protective coatings and nanocomposite materials using machine learning. Additional roles include Assistant Project Manager at Agfa, where Julie was involved in formulating solder mask inks, and Research Intern at AkzoNobel, contributing to the formulation of latexes for water-based paint binders. Julie also gained hands-on experience as an Operator at SIMRA SERVICES in the aeronautics industry. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Packaging Science from The University of Manchester and a Master's degree in Chemistry and Physics from ENSCBP - Bordeaux Polytechnical National Institute.
