Bahzad Brifkani, MA, CIPP/E, CIPM, FIP, C-DPO has extensive experience in data protection and privacy management. Bahzad served as the Head of Data Protection (DPO) at Notting Hill Genesis, overseeing GDPR compliance and data protection policies. Bahzad was also the Data Protection Officer at Watford Borough Council, providing strategic direction and ensuring GDPR compliance. Additionally, they have worked in various roles related to housing and homelessness management in different London boroughs. Brifkani's background also includes experience as a university lecturer, focusing on English language skills development.
Bahzad Brifkani holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in TESOL from the University of St Mark & St John, obtained in 2013. Prior to that, they earned an undergraduate certificate in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Dohuk between 1998 and 2000. Bahzad has also obtained several certifications related to data protection and privacy, including Certified Data Protection Officer (C-DPO), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), Fellow of Information Privacy (FIP), and others.
