Following this, they pursued a BSc Hons degree in Industrial Economics at the University of Nottingham from 2022 to 2025. In addition to their academic achievements, Soraya obtained the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh certification from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in June 2018.

NEFS is the largest student run society at the University of Nottingham with over 3600 active members, providing regular skills and career development sessions, employer events and socials to prepare them for success in their new careers in the professional world. We have 7 divisions dedicated to aiding our most passionate members in fields ranging from Investment Banking to Consulting, providing weekly interactive sessions to encourage learning at the highest level. The executive committee of 32 currently hold over 60 Spring Week and Summer Internship offers at the most successful and prestigious firms in the world. We are expanding our diversity by pushing to further improve student engagement in STEM subjects to ensure that we can support the most talented students from a range of academic disciplines. Being the biggest society enables us to provide the biggest socials with the cheapest prices and this includes, party cruises, balls and bar crawls to name just a few. NEFS also secures its members more discounts than any other society from some of Nottingham’s biggest names. From bars to restaurants and clubs, we bring our members the best deals, enabling them to get the most out of their time at University. If that were not enough, NEFS has some of the best sports teams on campus, including football, rugby and netball and with even more on the way this year, we can safely say we are the envy of other sports teams across the campus!
