Luke Barrett

Luke Barrett is an experienced communications and marketing professional with a strong background in public sector roles. Currently serving as Head of Communications and Marketing at Nottinghamshire County Council since May 2019, Luke previously held positions such as Head of Communications and Engagement at DHU Health Care CIC and Communications and Engagement Lead for the Arden and GEM Commissioning Support Unit, where contributions included leading communication strategies for NHS clinical commissioning groups in Nottinghamshire. Earlier roles included communications management at Amber Valley Borough Council and Derby City Council, as well as a foundation in journalism at BBC News. Luke holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from the University of Derby.
