Kate Nocera currently serves as Managing Editor at both the Allbritton Journalism Institute and NOTUS, positions held since June 2023. Previously, Nocera worked as a Senior Editor at Axios from January 2021 to June 2023, overseeing breaking news content in various sectors including politics and business. Earlier experiences include serving as DC Bureau Chief at BuzzFeed, where responsibility included managing a team and overseeing political coverage. Nocera's background also features a fellowship at Georgetown University, a role as Senior Editor for Vox Creative, and a Vice President position at SKDKnickerbocker. Nocera began the journalism career as a Congressional Reporter at POLITICO. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Journalism from the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism at CUNY and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
