Rene van Den Brink

Rene Van den Brink is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leading financial operations across global organizations. Currently serving as Global Finance Director for Natural Resources and Intermediates at Nouryon since October 2018, Rene Van den Brink has been instrumental in shaping the financial planning and reporting strategy for the company, overseeing revenues of EUR 5 billion and a workforce of 10,000. Prior to Nouryon, Rene Van den Brink held various leadership roles at AkzoNobel from August 2002 to October 2018, including BU Finance Director for Surface Chemistry in Amsterdam and Chicago, and SBU Controller for multiple product lines. Academic credentials include an Executive Master in Finance & Control from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Twente.
