Johnston Cheng

Johnston Cheng has over 15 years of experience in supply chain management and logistics, currently serving as a Buyer/Planner at National Oilwell Varco since December 2017. In this role, responsibilities include analyzing MRP, managing significant open demands, conducting negotiations with suppliers, and collaborating with various departments to resolve issues. Prior to this, Johnston worked as an Import Coordinator at Zen Continental Co., Inc-Houston, focusing on optimizing shipment efficiency and coordinating with international partners. Experience also includes roles as an Account Manager/Purchaser and Purchasing Manager at Prime Systems/Directron, where Johnston maintained customer relationships and managed product inventory. Johnston began the professional journey at UPS as a Pre-loader and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain & Logistics Technology from the University of Houston, complemented by earlier education at The University of Texas at Austin.
