CJ Langley has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Starting in 2014, they were a Graduate Research & Teaching Assistant at the University of Maine. In 2016, they took on the roles of Sample Coordinator & Student Field Work Supervisor at the Cooperative Forestry Research Unit and Forest Operations Intern at Seven Islands Land Co. In 2017, they were Interim Forester at the USDA Forest Service & University of Maine, as well as Chief Of Staff and Executive Assistant to the President/CEO at SCHOODIC INSTITUTE AT ACADIA NATIONAL PARK. In 2019, they worked as a Snowmaker at Sugarloaf. In 2020, they were a Chemist at CATLab,llc. Currently, they are a Scientist at Nova Analytic Labs.

CJ Langley earned a Bachelor's Degree in Botany/Plant Biology from the University of Maine in 2011. CJ then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Ecology & Environmental Science from the same university in 2017. In April 2015, they obtained a Wilderness First Aid, CPR & AED certification from Primary Care Consultants.
