Anita Finnegan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Anita is the Founder & CEO of Nova Leah, a globally recognized cybersecurity solutions provider for medical device manufacturers and healthcare providers. Anita launched SelectEvidence in 2016, an expert cybersecurity risk management platform for connected medical devices. Prior to Nova Leah, Anita worked at Dundalk Institute of Technology as a Research Fellow, focusing on the security assurance of medical devices. Anita also served as a Doctoral Researcher and Senior Quality Management System Researcher during their time at the institute. Additionally, Anita worked at James Leckey Design Ltd as a Quality Manager, and at Siac Construction Ltd as a Senior Structures Inspector for the M3 Motorway project. Anita began their career at MACFAB as an Engineering Coordinator.
Anita Finnegan completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Medical Device Cybersecurity from Dundalk Institute of Technology, which they obtained in 2019. Prior to that, they earned a Higher Diploma (HDip) in Science in Computing from the same institute, completing it in 2012. In 2007, they graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Quality Management, and in 2005, they achieved a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Manufacturing Engineering, both from Dundalk Institute of Technology as well.
