Leone Mento

Leone Mento is the current Manager of the Crewing Department at Nova Marine Carriers.

Mento has an extensive background in maritime operations, starting with their first role as Operation Manager for Cardile Bros Sicily S.r.l. in 1995. In this role, they oversaw vessel logistics and played an important part in the company's success.

In 2003, Mento took on the role of Marine Senior Crew Manager for Crew Management. In this role, they were responsible for managing ship staff and training, as well as developing programs for cadets. They also negotiated with unions on behalf of the company.

In 2010, Mento left Crew Management to become the General Manager of Marine Partners Monaco SAM. In this role, they continued to develop their skills in maritime operations, customer management, and project development.

In 2016, Mento left Monaco to take on their current role as Manager of the Crewing Department at Nova Marine Carriers. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing the crewing and training needs of the company's fleet.

Leone Mento's educational career includes a degree in Maritime Business Management from Lloyd's Maritime Academy, as well as a master's in Marine Studies from the Merchant Marine Academy. They also have various certifications in fields such as cybersecurity, Excel, and leadership from LinkedIn.

They are on a team with Terry Henderson - Manager Deep Sea, Mattia Pernice - Manager Operations Department, and Laura Romeo - Group Controlling Manager. Leone Mento reports to Salvatore Pugliese, COO.
