Catherine Akins

Catherine Akins is the Second Vice Chair at Nova Mutual. Prior to their current role, they worked as a financial consultant with Investors Group from June 2014 to February 2017. Catherine has also held positions as a sales manager and manager of development. In their role as sales manager at Solo Cable Solutions Inc., they were responsible for developing and executing a sales plan for fiber optics installation in Southwestern Ontario. As the manager of development for Habitat for Humanity Brant and Grey Bruce, they were responsible for fundraising and community engagement. Catherine has a passion for helping others and maximizing their potential.

Catherine Akins has a business administration diploma from Seneca College in specialized sales, merchandising and marketing operations. Catherine also has certification from PowerED by Athabasca University in navigating extraordinary times and from IHSA in construction supervisors training.
