Carol Rock-Altenhof currently serves as the Provincial Professional Practice Leader for the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Program at Nova Scotia Health Authority since December 2022. Previously, Carol managed the SANE program at VON Canada from January 2020 to March 2023, where responsibilities included developing policies, recruiting and training nurses, and maintaining community partnerships. Carol's experience also encompasses coordinating the SANE program at Tri-County Women’s Centre and working as a registered nurse with Nova Scotia Health Authority. With a solid background in health education and counseling, Carol has held roles as Executive Director and Health Educator at South Shore Sexual Health. Carol Rock-Altenhof is currently pursuing a Master of Health Studies at Athabasca University and holds multiple degrees from Dalhousie University.
