Sara Semple

Interdisciplinary Clinical Team Lead at Nova Scotia Health Authority

Sara Semple has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Sara started their career in 2002 as a Community Outreach Worker at Nova Scotia Health Authority, where they worked until 2005. Sara then joined Phoenix Youth Programs in 2009 as a Youth Care Relief staff member, leaving in 2016. In 2022, Sara took on the role of Crisis Intervention Training Coordinator at NSH. Currently, they are working at Nova Scotia Health Authority as an Interdisciplinary Clinical Lead, a position they started in 2023. Throughout their career, Sara has demonstrated a commitment to mental health service delivery and community support.

Sara Semple has a diverse education history. Sara attended Dalhousie University from 1995 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Social Work, as well as a Masters degree in Public Administration. In 2023, they pursued a short-term course in Psychologically Safe Leadership at the University of New Brunswick. In 2022, Sara completed training as a Crisis Intervention Coordinator at CIT International. Sara also holds a "Helping Heroes" certification from FEMA, which involved training to become a supporter of first responders. Additionally, Sara has certifications in Auricular Acupuncture, Personal Fitness Training, and Trauma Debrief Facilitation as a Wellness Specialist.
