Cpaa Cherie Foronda-Brennan

Cherie Foronda-Brennan, MBA CPA CMA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Cherie began their career as a Financial Analyst at Sobeys in 2001 before moving on to AMEC Americas Ltd. as an Accountant. In 2006, they joined Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, where they held various roles including Financial/Senior Financial Analyst, Manager of Financial Reporting & Analytics, Manager of Finance and Planning, Controller, and currently serves as the Director of Finance. In 2017, Cherie also became a member of the Board of Directors at Canada Games Centre Halifax. Through their roles in finance and accounting, Cherie has developed a strong foundation and expertise in their field.

Cherie Foronda-Brennan obtained their Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Accounting and Business/Management from Dalhousie University from 1997 to 2001. Cherie then pursued their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from Saint Mary's University from 2002 to 2005. During the same period, they also earned their certification as a Certified Management Accountant from CMA Nova Scotia.

In terms of additional certifications, Cherie became a Chartered Professional Accountant from CPA Nova Scotia and Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada) in April 2020. Cherie also completed a certification program titled "Taking the Stage" from the Niagara Institute of Learning in November 2017.
