Heather Connelly Bennett

Heather Connelly Bennett has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Heather is currently working at the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, where they hold the position of Vice President of Information Technology. Heather has also served as the Acting VP of Information Technology and Director of IT Portfolio Delivery at the same company. Prior to their current roles, Heather was the Senior Manager of IT Portfolio Delivery.

Before joining the Nova Scotia Liquor Corporation, Heather worked at Keane Canada (now NTT Data) for a number of years. Their roles there included Business Systems Analyst, Senior Programmer/Analyst, and Programmer. Heather worked on critical business applications for a large financial company and was involved in developing requirements, testing plans, and providing input for enhancements and maintenance.

Heather also has hospitality experience, having worked at the Old Orchard Inn & Spa and the Battery Hotel & Suites. Heather held managerial roles in these establishments, overseeing various departments and managing staff.

Overall, Heather has extensive experience in IT leadership, project management, business analysis, and hospitality management.

Heather Connelly Bennett completed a Master's Degree in Applied Information Technology (AIT) with Distinction from the Information Technology Institute (ITI) in 1999. Prior to that, they obtained a Canadian Securities Investment Course from the Canadian Securities Institute in 1995. Heather also holds a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree in Business Administration and Management from Dalhousie University, which they obtained between 1989 and 1993. Currently, they engage in ongoing professional education in the fields of technology and leadership.
