Scott Balfour

Scott Balfour is the current Director at Nova Scotia Power Incorporated. Prior to their current position, Mr. Balfour served as the Chief Operating Officer at Emera from November 2016 to April 2018. In this role, they were responsible for all of Emera's regulated electric and gas utility operations, as well as its unregulated energy services businesses, which included Tampa Electric, Nova Scotia Power, Peoples Gas, Emera Energy, New Mexico Gas, Emera Maine, Emera Caribbean, Emera Brunswick Pipeline and Emera Utility Services.

From March 2016 to November 2016, Mr. Balfour served as the Chief Operating Officer for Northeast and Caribbean for Emera. In this role, they had executive accountability and oversight for all of Emera's existing operations, including Nova Scotia Power, Emera Energy, Emera Maine, Emera Caribbean, Emera Brunswick Pipeline and Emera Utility Services.

Prior to their role as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Balfour served as the EVP & CFO, and COO Northeast USA and Caribbean for Emera from November 2015 to March 2016. In this role, they were responsible for all of Emera's financial operations as well as its Northeast USA and Caribbean operations.

Mr. Balfour began their career at Emera in April 2012 when they were appointed EVP & Chief Financial Officer. In this role, they were responsible for all of Emera's financial operations. Scott held this position until March
