Tony Folkins

VP, Technology at Nova Scotia Power Incorporated

Tony Folkins leads Nova Scotia Power’s technology strategy, project delivery and operations playing a lead role in the development and implementation of digitization across the business.

Tony joined Nova Scotia Power in 2001 and was appointed the Vice President of Technology in August 2019. Tony has held many senior roles in the business including the Director of Customer Solutions, Director of IT and his most recent role of Senior Director of IT.

Tony has been a leader in the IT strategy development and implementation, involving all the Emera Canada companies, and for many years and has been key in our large technology intensive projects. Tony’s innovative approach, leadership and drive for change continues to assist in the evolution of the business.

A grass roots supporter of the community, Tony has served in many capacities with local sports organizations, is a former Treasurer of the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia, Project Manager for the Canada Winter Games and currently serves of the Board of Junior Achievement Nova Scotia. Tony graduated from Acadia University, is a Certified Professional Accountant and a Certified Project Management Professional.
