Alexander Solbakken has extensive experience in management and operations within the aquaculture and marine industries. Currently serving as Operations Manager at Nova Sea AS since June 2020, Alexander previously held positions including Project and Sale at Bio Marine AS, General Manager at Tundra Sol AS, and Sales Manager at Rantex Marine AS, where responsibilities included sales for systems aimed at parasite prevention in aquaculture. Alexander’s career also includes roles such as Mechanic Workshop Manager at Truck og maskin AS and General Manager at AKVA group Land Based A/S, showcasing strong leadership capabilities. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Ocean Leadership from UiT - The Arctic University of Norway, and a Cand. Scient in Aquaculture from the same institution.

Nova Sea AS
Nova Sea AS is one of the largest salmon farming companies in Northern Norway. The administration and industrial facilities are situated at the island of Lovund in the Municipality of Lurøy. All harvest and packing is accommodated here prior to distribution into our domestic and international markets. The founders of Nova Sea were amongst the pioneers in the farming of Atlantic Salmon in the early 1970s. There was a good deal of trials and mistakes in the beginning of what became a long and exciting fairy-tale. The will to try out innovative solutions and carry out numerous of experiments has through 50 years developed Nova Sea into the company it is today.
