John Lapham

John Lapham started their work experience in 1996 as a Sr. Compensation Consultant at General American Life. In this role, they prepared compensation recommendations for the Board of Directors and redesigned executive incentive and non-qualified plans.

In 2001, John joined MetLife as an Assistant Vice President/Director of Compensation. John managed the implementation of a web-based market survey database, leading to a significant reduction in compensation planning time. John later became a Vice President of Compensation, responsible for non-executive compensation and equity administration for thousands of employees.

Since 2013, John has been working at Nova Southeastern University. John has held various roles including Director of Compensation and currently serves as the Managing Director of Total Rewards.

John Lapham has a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law, obtained between 1990 and 1994. John also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis - Olin Business School, obtained during the same time period. Prior to their graduate education, they earned an AB degree in Legal Studies from the University of California, Berkeley, from 1981 to 1984. At the high school level, John attended Thomas Jefferson High School. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a Certified Benefits Professional and a Certified Compensation Professional from World at Work, although the specific dates are not provided.
