Patrick McGowan

Patrick McGowan serves as the Associate Director of the Public Safety Department at Nova Southeastern University since October 2012, where previously held the position of Assistant Director of Support Services. Prior experience includes a tenure at Plantation Police Department from January 1985 to October 2012, culminating in the role of Captain, overseeing the Investigations, Support Services, and Patrol Divisions. Currently pursuing a Master of Science in Forensic Psychology at Nova Southeastern University, McGowan also holds a Graduate Certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of Virginia, an M.S. in Human Resource Development, and a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration from Indiana State University. Additionally, McGowan is a Certified Campus Crime Prevention Specialist, having completed training at the American Crime Prevention Institute and the F.B.I. National Academy in 2008.
