Gary Burgess, CEng MSc MIMarEST, serves as the Executive General Manager of Mission Solutions at Nova Systems Australia and New Zealand since February 2012, overseeing a $100M business with four General Managers across diverse business lines. Previously, Gary held the role of Executive General Manager of Business Enablement, focusing on workforce planning and strategic governance. Prior experience includes managing regional operations and serving as a senior engineering consultant for defense projects, alongside a tenure at the Department of Defence of Australia, where Gary ensured safety and compliance for submarines. A former Submarine Marine Engineer Officer in the Royal Navy, Gary has extensive leadership experience and has contributed significantly to safety management, receiving an Admiral’s Commendation for notable achievements. Educational background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Marine Engineering and a Master of Science in Marine Engineering (Electrical).
