Jason Chan

Jason Chan is a dedicated software engineer currently working at Block Clinical Inc. since August 2024 and serving as an ML undergraduate researcher at the Neural Engineering and Computation Lab at UCLA under Dr. Jonathan Kao. In addition to these roles, Jason holds positions as External Vice President and Project Lead for CoachArt at Nova, Tech for Good, and has contributed to the AI Team at AI and Eye since October 2023. Previous experiences include directing external affairs for ACM at UCLA, interning in data science at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, and teaching as a lead instructor at Code Ninjas. Jason's internship at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine involved developing a blockchain prototype for COVID-19 tracking, while work as a research assistant in the Lewis Lab resulted in visualizations for modeling cell communication included in a published manuscript. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at UCLA, Jason is expected to graduate in June 2026.
