Dr. Chitra Somu

Dr. Chitra Somu has extensive work experience in the publishing industry. Dr. Chitra began their career as an Associate Professor at Ethiraj College for Women, where they taught English and Communication skills. Dr. Chitra then transitioned to the corporate sector and worked at various companies in leadership positions. At Nova Techset Limited, they served as the Vice President, responsible for overseeing company operations. Prior to that, at Nova Techset (A Division of Katalyst Technologies), they held the role of Head of Department, Editorial Services. At Newgen Knowledge Works, they worked as a Managing Editor, handling client management, production, and project management. Before that, at TNQ Books and Journals Pvt Ltd, they served as the Deputy General Manager, managing a large team of copy editors and trainers. Dr. Chitra then worked at Deanta Global publishing as a Senior Manager, where they played a key role in setting up departments and recruiting and training professionals. Dr. Chitra began their professional journey at SPi Global as an Assistant Manager. Through their various roles, Dr. Somu has gained expertise in project management, training, and recruitment.

Dr. Chitra Somu received their education at Ethiraj College For Women, where they earned a MA, M. Phil, and Ph.D. in English Language and Literature. Before attending Ethiraj College, they had previously attended Mount Christian Matriculation School.
