Malcolm Fleming has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Malcolm started their career in 1996 as a Parliamentary Assistant to Allan Macartney MEP in the European Parliament. Malcolm then worked as an Office Manager and Senior Parliamentary Assistant to Alasdair Morgan MP/MSP in the House of Commons from 1997 to 2002. Following that, they joined the Scottish National Party (SNP) as a Communications Officer.

In 2003, Malcolm joined Oxfam and held multiple roles, including Campaigns & Communications Manager, Media & Public Affairs Manager, Regional Media & Advocacy Co-ordinator, and Emergency Media Officer and Media Spokesperson.

Malcolm's next significant role was with The Scottish Government, where they served as a Special Adviser to the First Minister of Scotland from 2011 to 2016.

In 2016, they became a Board Member of the Scotland Malawi Partnership and also joined Novamedia | Postcode Lottery Group as a UK Public Affairs Manager. Malcolm gradually rose through the ranks at Novamedia, holding positions such as UK Head of Public Affairs, Germany - Head of Public Affairs, and currently serves as the Group Public Affairs Manager & UK Head of Public Affairs.

Malcolm's involvement in the lottery industry extended further as they became a Director of The Lotteries Council from 2020 to 2023 and served as the Chair of Public Affairs Committee from 2018 to 2021.

Malcolm also contributed to the nonprofit sector as they became a Board Member of the Association of Charity Lotteries in Europe in 2019, assuming the role of President in 2023.

Additionally, Malcolm joined the Association for Scottish Public Affairs as a Committee Member in 2021.
