Per Mickols has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Per began their career in 1988 at Pharmacia LKB Biotechnology AB as a Programmer/System Manager. From there, they worked at Ericsson as a Project Manager/System Engineer from 1991 to 1994. In 1994, they joined Atos Origin as a Business Area Manager, where they stayed until 1998. Mickols then transitioned to Cybercom, where they served as a Consultant Manager from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, they moved to Arthur Andersen Business Consulting as an eMerging Tech Team Lead. From 2001 to 2006, they worked at Pfizer as a Manager of Application Integration Services. In 2007, Mickols joined Novamedia Sverige AB as Head of IT and IT-chef, positions they held until 2018. Since 2018, they have been working at Novamedia, initially as a Novamedia Group IT Manager and then as the Novamedia Group IT Director starting in January 2021.

Per Mickols attended Stockholm University from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Applied System Science. Per further pursued their education at the Stockholm School of Economics from 1998 to 2000, earning a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. Additionally, in May 2008, Per Mickols received a certification as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from the Scrum Alliance.
