Rebecca Bot has a diverse range of work experience. From 2012 to 2017, they worked as an Academic Tutor at Bijlesbureau StudentsPlus Nederland. In 2017, they joined The Dutch Postcode Lottery as an HR-Medewerker, where they played a role in fundraising for charitable organizations. Rebecca later transitioned to the position of Systeem en Proces Adviseur in 2019. In 2022, Rebecca Bot joined Novamedia | Postcode Lottery Group as an International Programme Manager. Rebecca then moved on to become an International Application Manager Oracle HCM in 2023.
Rebecca Bot's education history began in 2006 when they attended Stedelijk Gymnasium Breda, where they completed their VWO-Gymnasium degree from 2006 to 2012. Subsequently, from 2012 to 2017, they pursued their Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedische wetenschappen (Biomedical Sciences) at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam). Following this, they enrolled at VU Amsterdam once again and obtained a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences, with a focus on Neurosciences, from 2017 to 2018. Most recently, starting in 2021, they began pursuing a Master of Science degree in Management Studies at the University of Amsterdam - Amsterdam Business School.

Unrestricted funding allows the beneficiaries and cultural partners of the Postcode Lottery Group to address those needs they feel are most relevant and urgent. It allows them to flexibly shift priorities when circumstances change. The Postcode Lottery Group is the world's 3rd largest private donor.
