Parinaz Naseri

Senior Hardware & Antenna Engineer at Novamera Inc.

Parinaz Naseri's work experience begins in 2014 as an RF/Antenna Graduate Researcher at the Intelligent Wireless Technology Group. They designed a wideband transmit-array antenna and implemented a power and data-transfer system.

From 2016 to 2018, Parinaz worked at the Instituto de Telecomunicações as an Antenna/RF Researcher, where they designed and tested compact dual-band antennas and developed analysis methods for large antenna arrays.

During the same time, they also worked at the European Space Agency as an Antenna Engineer/Researcher, designing wide-angle mechanically steerable circularly-polarized transmitarrays and dual-band dual-LP to CP polarizers.

In 2018, Parinaz joined MDA as an Antenna Engineer/Researcher, where they designed a linear to circular polarization converter and carried out experiments using a quasi-optical measurement setup.

Starting in 2021, Parinaz worked as a Contract Instructor at Humber College, teaching Electronic Devices and Circuits.

In 2018, they also worked at the University of Toronto as an RF/Antenna Researcher, proposing and implementing deep neural machine-learning networks and performing scattering parameter measurements. Parinaz also had roles as a Course Instructor and Hardware Design Course Developer Assistant at the University of Toronto.

From 2019 to 2022, Parinaz served as the Research Laboratory Manager at the Reconfigurable Antenna Laboratory at the University of Toronto.

Currently, Parinaz holds positions at Novamera Inc. as a Senior Hardware Design Engineer and Senior Antenna Engineer, starting in 2022.

They also collaborated with the European Space Agency as an Antenna & Machine Learning Researcher from 2021 to 2022.

Parinaz Naseri completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Telecommunications at the University of Tehran from 2009 to 2013. Parinaz then pursued a Master's degree in Microwaves and Antennas at the University of Alberta from 2014 to 2016, achieving a GPA of 3.94 out of 4.0. Currently, they are enrolled at the University of Toronto, where they are working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the field of Electromagnetics. Their expected graduation date is in 2023.
