Joseph Cruz

Joseph Cruz serves as the Chair of Emergency Medicine and Emergency Medicine Physician at Novant Health since July 2018, where also holds the position of Vice-Chair for Emergency Medicine at Novant Rowan Medical Center. In addition, Joseph Cruz is currently the Assistant Medical Director of the Rowan Emergency Department with Mid-Atlantic Emergency Medical Associates, and the Associate Director of EMS Education at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. Other roles include serving as a reviewer for the North Carolina Medical Board and working with Veterans Evaluation Services, while continuing to practice as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Joseph Cruz completed a Doctor of Medicine degree in Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and pursued an Emergency Medicine Residency at Rowan University. Education began with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of New Jersey.
