Matthew Brothers

Matthew Brothers is a highly experienced pediatric cardiologist currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at both the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and Campbell University, School of Osteopathic Medicine. With extensive clinical expertise in caring for pediatric patients, including those with congenital heart defects and other heart conditions, Matthew has been involved with Novant Health since 2014 and has worked as a Physician Reviewer for Healthcare Quality Strategies, Inc. since 2021. Prior to these roles, Matthew completed a fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Emory University, where contributions included enhancing electronic medical records and developing educational programs for nursing staff. Educationally, Matthew holds a Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Williams College. Earlier in the career, Matthew was involved in education through Teach For America and Atlanta Public Schools, teaching elementary levels and coordinating extracurricular programs.
