Michele Welsh

Ms. Welsh joined Novanta [Nasdaq: NOVT] in July 2022 as General Counsel & Corporate Secretary. She brings to Novanta more than 20 years of experience working with global, public companies across multiple industries. Prior to joining Novanta, Ms. Welsh was the Vice President, Assistant General Counsel & Legal Compliance, at Carlisle Companies Incorporated (NYSE: CSL), a diversified, global manufacturing company. At Carlisle, Ms. Welsh managed M&A and strategic transactions, commercial and corporate matters and oversaw compliance functions. Prior to her time at Carlisle, Ms. Welsh spent 10 years in a variety of increasingly senior roles at Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a global professional services firm providing a broad range of risk, reinsurance, retirement and health solutions. Ms. Welsh began her career in the corporate and securities practices of the law firms of Thompson Coburn LLP (St. Louis, MO) and Neal, Gerber and Eisenberg LLP (Chicago, IL), where she represented public and private companies in multiple industries on a wide variety of corporate governance, securities and M&A matters. Ms. Welsh holds a B.S.B.A. from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
