Rachel Applehans

Rachel Applehans is an experienced procurement professional with a robust background in supply chain management across various industries. Currently serving as the Director of Procurement at Tessenderlo Kerley, Inc. since February 2024, Rachel previously held the position of Global Manager of Supply Chain Safety, Risk and Compliance at Anglo American from 2018 to February 2024, where responsibilities included leading mining equipment procurement and developing a global contractor performance management program. Prior to that, Rachel was with BP from 2012 to 2018, serving in multiple roles including Manager of Supply Chain Contracting and Procurement for Oil Production and Rigs Category Manager for the Iraq region. Earlier experience includes managing procurement operations at Atomic Weapons Establishment (2006–2012) and working as a Project Manager at Worley Parsons (2002–2006). Rachel holds a certification from the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply and has studied Sustainability and Leadership at the University of Cambridge.
