Denny Kim

Denny Kim serves as the Senior Vice President and Chief Safety Officer at Novavax Inc. since September 2021, previously holding the position of TA Matrix Safety Excellence Leader at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson from January 2019 to September 2021. Denny's extensive experience in pharmacovigilance and patient safety includes roles such as Vice President of Patient Safety and Pharmacovigilance at Horizon Pharma plc and multiple positions at Takeda Pharmaceuticals, including Head of Clinical Research in US Medical Affairs and Executive Medical Director of Pharmacovigilance. Denny also contributed as a Senior Medical Director and Medical Director focusing on various therapeutic areas and global safety. Earlier career highlights include positions at Astellas Pharma, Abbott, and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, alongside military service as a Physician and Flight Surgeon in the United States Navy. Educational background includes a BA in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University, an MD from The University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and an MPH from The Johns Hopkins University.
