Marcos Melecio-Zambrano

Marcos Melecio-Zambrano currently serves as Corporate Counsel for Securities and Corporate Governance at Novavax since August 2022, concurrently working as an Associate at Latham & Watkins since 2021, where expertise includes advising clients on corporate governance and assisting startups with financing. Previously, Marcos worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Affiliates from 2019 to 2021, representing buyers and sellers in merger and acquisition transactions while advising on capital markets issues. A legal internship at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in late 2017 involved researching legal interpretive requests and reviewing shareholder proposals. Initial legal experience included an internship at SEBUGWAWO & CO ADVOCATES in 2016, focusing on transaction preparation and evidence investigation. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center and a Bachelor of Arts in History and English Literature from Florida State University.
