Atish Ray

Atish Ray is a highly experienced professional in the field of materials engineering, currently serving as Lead Scientist at Novelis since December 2018, specializing in sustainable aluminum alloys. Previously, Atish worked as a Research Engineer at EVRAZ North America, leading product development for API line pipe steels used in the oil and gas industry. Atish has also held research positions at McMaster University, the National Metallurgical Laboratory, Cornell University, and Queen's University, focusing on topics such as ductile damage behavior, aluminum alloys, and finite element analysis. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mechanical and Materials Engineering from Queen's University, a Master's in Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science, and a Bachelor's in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela.
