Dean Schmidt

Dean Schmidt is an experienced quality assurance professional, currently serving as the Senior Quality Assurance Coordinator at Novelis since December 2012, where responsibilities include managing plant-wide quality issues and ensuring compliance with aluminum specifications. Prior to this role, Dean held the position of Senior Quality Assurance Analyst at Aleris from December 2012 to April 2020 and worked as a Plant Metalographer at Alcoa from November 1996 to September 2012. Dean began the career as a Production Coordinator at Erie Foods International in 1996. Academically, Dean holds a certificate in Metallurgy for the Non-Metallurgist from the Material Engineering Institute ASM and a certificate in Oxygen Nitrogen Cryogenics from the U.S. Navy.
