Donald Whitacre

Donald Whitacre possesses extensive experience in the automotive industry with a focus on engineering and product development. Currently serving as the Automotive Technical Director for Novelis North America since March 2014, Donald has built a team dedicated to creating weight-efficient and cost-effective aluminum solutions for automotive structures. Previous roles include Director of Engineering at Casting Technologies Company, where Donald managed product development for automotive applications, and various engineering positions at Alcoa and General Motors/Saturn Corp. Donald holds both a Master of Science and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
