Ian Spangler

Ian Spangler is a sustainability professional currently serving as the Sustainability Innovation Manager at Novelis since April 2024, where leadership of the ERASE Team focuses on evaluating sustainable technologies for global implementation and collaborating on decarbonization strategies. Prior to this role, Ian worked as a Technology Commercialization Advisor for the U.S. Department of Energy from May 2023 to April 2024, providing technical input for program planning and execution. Ian's experience also encompasses a significant tenure at Bolder Industries from February 2015 to May 2023, where responsibilities as Director of Development included directing technology implementation and addressing global economic and environmental challenges. Previous roles at HENSEL PHELPS spanned from August 2006 to February 2015, starting as a Project Scheduler and advancing through multiple engineering and superintendent positions on major construction projects. Ian earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from the University of Central Missouri.
