Julio Malpica

Julio Malpica has extensive work experience in engineering roles. Julio is currently working as a Principal Engineer at Novelis since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Novelis from 2014 to 2021, serving as a Lead Applications Engineer in sheet metal forming and joining, and as a Senior Automotive Technology Development Engineer. Before their time at Novelis, they were employed at Honda Engineering North America, Inc. from 2007 to 2014. There, they held the positions of Engineering Coordinator, where they focused on stamping R&D and technology development, and Associate Engineer, where they specialized in sheet metal formability engineering. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nevada Las Vegas from 2005 to 2007, conducting research on high-temperature mechanical properties. Julio Malpica obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nevada-Las Vegas in 2005. Julio later pursued a Master of Science degree in Materials Engineering from the same university and completed it in 2007.
