Raphael Steinhagen

Raphael Steinhagen is a skilled engineering professional with extensive experience in the manufacturing sector, currently serving as a Mechanical and Process Engineer at Novelis since June 2023 and as Director at Crane Steel Group, where efforts focus on establishing the world's first sustainable tool forge in Uganda. Prior to these roles, Raphael held the position of Technical Customer Service Manager at Gontermann-Peipers GmbH from November 2015 to December 2022. Raphael also served as Team Manager of the Roll Shop Hot Strip Mill at both AM/NS Calvert from April 2012 to November 2015 and Salzgitter AG from April 2008 to March 2012. Earlier in the career, Raphael worked as a Maintenance Engineer for the Hot Strip Mill at Salzgitter AG and as a Research Engineer at DLR from September 2006 to March 2008. Raphael holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechatronics Engineering from OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, completed in 2006.
