Theresa MacFarlane

Theresa MacFarlane is a seasoned researcher with over 25 years of experience in materials science and processing. Currently serving as Global Roadmap Leader Specialties and Principal Scientist at Novelis since November 2019, Theresa previously held the position of Lead Scientist at Novelis from January 2003 to July 2019. Prior roles included Researcher III and R&D Surface Scientist, where Theresa contributed to significant projects in collaboration with Novelis laboratories and explored the relationship between process variables and product performance in automotive applications. Earlier experience at Alcan R&D and AERE Harwell involved developing ceramics for memory devices and conducting quality assessments for isotopically labeled drugs. Academic credentials include an MSc in Advanced Materials Technology from the University of Surrey and a PhD from the University of Birmingham.
