Gonçalo Sousa

Gonçalo Sousa has a diverse and extensive work experience in the financial industry. Gonçalo began their career at Caixa - Banco de Investimento as an Analyst and later became a Manager in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets division. Gonçalo then joined Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an Associate in Corporate and Investment Banking, specializing in Telecoms, Media, and Technology. After that, they worked at The Boston Consulting Group as a Consultant and Project Leader, where they managed advisory engagements on strategy and operations. Next, they served as the Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions at Banco Caixa Geral - Brasil, where they directed the development of strategic and financial cases for M&A opportunities. Currently, they are the Head of Business Development at NOVO BANCO, responsible for supporting corporate inorganic corporate and business developments.

Gonçalo Sousa completed their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, with a focus on General studies, from Nova School of Business and Economics. Gonçalo pursued this degree from 1996 to 2000. Following this, in 2005, they obtained a Postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance from the same institution. In 2006, Gonçalo attended INSEAD for an MBA, although the field of study for this degree is not provided.
