Nuno Duarte Prm

Nuno Duarte has a comprehensive and diverse work experience spanning various companies and roles. Nuno is currently the Head of Treasury and Financial Department at NOVO BANCO since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Crédit Agricole CIB, where they held several positions including Regional Head of ALM/CPM for the Americas, Deputy Head of ALM/CPM for the Americas, and VP, ALM/CPM Quantitative Team Coordinator. At Crédit Agricole CIB, they were responsible for liquidity risk management, stress tests, asset rotation, and loans sales.

Before joining Crédit Agricole CIB, Nuno worked as a Professor of Finance at Université Paris Dauphine from September 2010 to December 2013. Nuno also gained valuable experience at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking - SGCIB, where they worked as a Business Analyst and Functional Architect. In this role, they coordinated strategic projects, deployed change management initiatives, and reengineered business processes.

Nuno took a sabbatical leave from 2006 to 2007 to pursue entrepreneurial activities in the investment management area. Nuno also obtained their PRM certification during this time.

Prior to their sabbatical, Nuno worked as a Business Analyst at Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking, focusing on Basel II credit risk stream and delivering "As Is Analysis" and reengineering processes. Nuno also gained experience as a Risk & Method Engineer at Société Générale Asset Management, working on audit projects, Basel II project, and performance measures for funds.

At the start of their career, Nuno interned as a Consultant in Corporate Finance at Ernst & Young.

Nuno Duarte, PRM, has a diverse education background in the fields of asset and risk management, business, finance, and risk management. In 2004, they obtained a Master’s Degree in Asset and Risk Management from Université Paris-Saclay. Before that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Business from EDC Paris Business School in 2003. Nuno also pursued additional specialization in finance by studying at Universidade Católica Portuguesa in 2002 and FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas in 2001, where they earned Bachelor's degrees. Furthermore, in 2007, Nuno Duarte acquired the certification of Professional Risk Manager from PRMIA - Professional Risk Managers' International Association.
